Homemade Candied Pecans Recipe

You only need a few simple things to make these candied pecans, which are great for a sweet treat or a gift for family and friends.

INGREDIENTS 

SERVINGS: 12 SERVINGS – 4 cups (1 pound) pecan halve – 1 large egg white – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) water – 1 cup (200 grams) granulated sugar – 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon – 1/2 teaspoon salt

Warm the oven up to 150°C/300°F. Put parchment paper on a large baking sheet and set it aside.

Mix pecans in a large bowl and set aside. Mix the egg white and water in a separate bowl until frothy. Stir the egg white mixture into the pecans until they are coated.

Add the sugar, cinnamon, and salt to a different bowl and mix them together using a whisk. Add the cinnamon sugar mix to the pecans and mix them around until they are all covered.

Place pecans in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake pecans at 300°F (150°C) for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Leave the baking sheet to cool completely after removing from the oven.
