Pico de gallo is the freshest salsa. Anything in a jar may have been lying on a shelf for months, so it's nice but not fresh. Although you can purchase prepared pico at the grocery store, making your own is simple.
Ingredient
– 4 medium tomatoes, chopped and deseeded– 1 onion, chopped– 1 serrano pepper, diced– ⅓ cup cilantro, chopped– 1 lime, juiced– ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
Direction
A bowl should be used to combine the tomato and onion ingredients.
