Las Vegas Desert National Wildlife Refuge Although scorching, the Mojave Desert is great for hummingbirds. This 1.6-million-acre wildlife refuge, the largest outside Alaska, attracts 320 bird species, including hummingbirds, more than any other Nevada birding attraction.

Corn Creek visitor facility attracts birders. The greenery draws migrant and vagrant hummingbirds. For excellent hummingbird viewing, several paths begin here, some accessible to everybody.

Texas' Davis Mountains State Park, Fort Davis The Davis Mountains in western Texas are hummingbird paradise from July to October.

The range is one of the Southwest's sky islands, attracting birds and other species with its high elevation (5,000 feet) and precipitation. We have seen most U.S. hummingbird species.
