Ordering fajitas will draw attention once the hot pan arrives at your table. Savory flavors, sizzling sounds, and brilliant colors attract customers, making it a winning dinner. Fortunately, creating fajitas at home opens up many options.
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons cumin
2 teaspoons garlic granules
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
Ingredient
1 (16-ounce) package super firm tofu
3 bell peppers (mix of colors), sliced
½ red onion, sliced
4 tablespoons avocado oil, divided
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoon lime juice
2 teaspoon maple syrup
12 small flour tortillas
Direction
Chili powder, cumin, garlic granules, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper should be mixed together in a small bowl.
1
Make thin strips of tofu measuring ¼ inch in width. Tofu, sliced bell pepper, and sliced onion should be placed in a big bowl, and then two teaspoons of oil, soy sauce, lime juice, and maple syrup should be added to the mixture.
2
In order to coat, stir. At a slow and steady pace, incorporate the spice mixture into the tofu and vegetable mixture, making sure to stir it thoroughly after each addition.
3
Marinate in the refrigerator for half an hour, stirring the mixture a few times while it is covered.
4
A skillet made of cast iron or another big frying pan should be heated over medium-high heat. Add the remaining oil to the skillet.
5
Cook the vegetables and tofu for twenty to twenty-five minutes, or until the vegetables have become tender and the tofu has developed a browned appearance.
6
After the tortillas have been warmed up, serve the fajitas with avocado, tomatoes, cheese, cilantro, sour cream, and/or salsa as additional toppings; these are optional.
